Fanny Louisa Boddy 5th November 1926. Florence Gertrude Boddy 13th March 1930 Life storyLife storyMarian was the third daughter of George Yatman Boddy and his wife, Eliza,to be buried at Heene. The others were Fanny Louisa and Florence Gertrude. They did not marry and lived with their parents and after their deaths lived with each other. Presumably the daughters looked after the family and took part in Parish affairs and found that satisfying. Marian was born on 27 December 1854 and died in 1941 at 10, St.Michael's Road, Worthing, but the address in her probate announcement was 22, Shakespeare Road, Worthing. She left £381 10s 1d to Margaret Wallace Statham widow. (It is rather touching that a person's estate should be calculated down to the last penny.) N.B. Margaret, who married Richard Leicester Statham in 1923, was the daughter of Samuel Staffurth, who married Edith Mary Wallace Boddy, a daughter of George Yatman and Eliza Boddy and, therefore, the older sister of Fanny, Florence and Marian.Burial researcher: Angela Levy Further informationBirthDate born: 27/12/1854 DeathDeath (details)Date of death: 13/04/1941Age (at time of death): 86Cause of death: UnknownAddress at time of death: 10 St Michael's Road, Worthing, Sussex, England Personal effectsExecutors: Margaret Wallace Statham status: WidowProbate pounds: £381 Census and miscellaneous informationCensus information1871 census: 26, Woolwich Common, Woolwich St Mary Herbert G Boddy, 19, son, undergraduate Cambridge University; Marian C M Boddy, 16, daughter, scholar; Florence G Boddy, 15, daughter; plus a cook and a housemaid1881 census: The Vicarage , Lower Beeding, Sussex George Yatman Boddy, head, 64, Vicar St Saviour; Eliza Boddy, 58, wife; Fanny L Boddy, 35, daughter; Maria C M Boddy, 26, daughter; Florence G Boddy, 25, daughter; a cook and a housemaid1891 census: Elmslie Villa , Tarring Street, West Tarring George Y Boddy, 74, head, Clerk in Holy Orders Clergy; Eliza Boddy, 68, wife; Fanny L Boddy, 45, daughter; Marian C M Boddy, 36, daughter; Florence G Boddy, 35, daughter; plus 1 house parlourmaid1901 census: Elmslie, West Tarring, George Y Boddy, 84, head, widower, clergyman Church of England; Fanny Boddy, 55, daughter; Marian Boddy, 45, daughter; Florence Boddy, 45, daughter; plus a cook1911 census: Elmslie, South Street, West Tarring Fanny Boddy, 65, head, private means; Marian Boddy, 56, sister, private means; Florence Boddy, 55, sister, private means; a cook and a housemaid1939 register: 22, Shakespeare Road, Worthing Marian C Boddy, b 27 December 1854, Unpaid Domestic Duties Elizabeth Byrne, b 22 February 1855 domestic service Ellen M Basto b 23 April 1892 Unpaid Domestic Duties Miscellaneous informationEllen May Basto - daughter of Joseph Cooper and Annie Byrne Ellen May Basto, née Cooper, born in Liverpool, the daughter of Joseph Cooper and Annie Byrne.
