Life story

Life story

Louisa was born in Taplow, the daughter of William and Mary and the sister of William. She was baptised at Taplow on 22nd September 1829. Her father ran The Orkney Arms by the side of the Thames. Louisa never married and spent some of her life living with her sister Mary and brother-in-law William Cripps who was a farmer. When Mary married again after being widowed, Louisa moved with her to Eastbourne.  By 1901, Louisa was living with her brother William in Worthing.
