Life story

Sarah was born in Bermondsey in 1825 and was baptised at Christ Church, Southwark, on 16 December, She was named after her mother, Sarah, a   second name, Williams. . Her father, Thomas Baker, was a brewer. Sarah Williams married Christopher Andrew Sennett, a furrier, on 13 August 1856 at St James , Bermondsey. Their sons were Christopher Thomas, born in 1857 and Alfred Richard born in 1860. Sarah and Christopher had retired to Lansdowne Road Heene, by 1881 and remained at 'Seacroft' for the rest of their lives. Sarah died on 10 August 1908, aged 81, after a long illness leaving £248 2s 1d to her son, Lt.Col Christopher Thomas Sennett.
