Life story

Ralph William Nisbet was born in 1866, in Islington, London, to a wealthy family, father, John Nisbet, being a Corn Trader, living at 29, Canonbury Park North. He was born on 16th June 1866 and baptised on 18th November at St. Stephen, Canonbury Road. In 1871 the family lived in Bromley, Kent, at 53 Widmore Road, Ralph William aged 4yrs was one of 6 children, Margaret 19, Alice 18, Lucy 16, Edward 8 and Frederick 6. Ralph William, in 1881, aged 14yrs, was at boarding school in Sherborne, Dorset. He died on 5th January 1894, at the home of his parents, 11, Heene Terrace, Worthing, aged 27yrs. He was unmarried and of independent means. His death certificate gave the cause of death as Pulmonary Tuberculosis 1 year, Haemorrhage
