Life story

Edinburgh born, Jane Bonnar's parents were Charles Bean and Jane Bonnar. She married Charles Bean Lucie Smith on  22nd September 1871 at St. George's Edinburgh. They travelled to India and had two daughters in Bengal, Jane and Eleanor. Jane died aged 2 and was buried in Bengal, Eleanor was born in 1975 and travelled home with them to England. Muriel was born in 1877 in Broadwater, Worthing, Sussex.

They lived at The Acacias, Gratwicke Ave, Worthing. Jane died in 1918 and was buried in Heene Cemetery on 28th June 1918 in a service officiated by Rev. Hollis
