Life story

Harriette was born in Manea, Cambridgeshire, the daughter of the Rev. Christopher Robert Andrews and his wife Mary Ann. She was baptised in the village on 6th July 1852. In 1856, Christopher was appointed Vicar of Hough on the Hill in Lincolnshire and the family moved to the Rectory in the village. Christopher was Vicar here until 1900. Harriette lived with her family all her life and never married. By 1911, she was living in Grantham, Lincolnshire with two of her sisters, Mary and Florence and they continued to live together until Mary Elizabeth died in 1927. Harriette died on 14th June 1928. Probate was granted on 9th August to Florence Eleanor Andrews, spinster and Charles David Eugene Bourne solicitor. Effects £2265 12s 10d.

The Parish Register only gives "Heene" as Harriette's address in Worthing, so it is not known where the sisters were living.
