Frances Emma Pell was the second daughter born in Portslade to parents George Pell and Frances Eliza Lintott. Both parents were from Brighton. George Pell worked as an Upholsterer and ran a successful business in Worthing. Frances Emma never married and lived with her parents until her death on 7th October 1938 in Worthing. Frances’s estate was left to two solicitors
