Frances Charlotte Peachey was born on 3rd December 1829 at St. Luke Old Street, Middlesex, she was the daughter of James Peachey, 36yrs, Pawnbroker and Silversmith, and Rebekah, 39yrs, nee Carter. Frances was registered in the Non-Conformist and Non-Parochial Registers on 15th January 1830. She had 4 siblings, Rebekah b.1823, James b.1825, Mary b.1827, and William b. 1832.
Frances lived with her family in the house of her birth, 38, Goswell Street, Finsbury, until she was in her thirties. When her father died in 1865 leaving estate valued at £1m. (2023 value) he was the owner of a successful jewellery business in Hatton Gardens, London, it was inherited by his son, William.
Frances remained single, living on her own means, and from 1881 she lived with her widowed sister, Rebekah Mullins, in Islington and then at 8, Cecile Park, Crouch End, Middlesex.
On 9th March 1907 Frances died at Rosario, Heene Road, Worthing, Sussex, aged 77yrs. Probate was granted to Charles Frederick Booth and William Tozer, gentlemen, effects £1966 12s 5d. Value 2023 - £302,500.
