Life story

Catherine was born in Coln St Dennis, Gloucestershire, the daughter of the Rev. Edward Duncan Hall and his wife Sophia Elizabeth. She was baptised in the village on 27th December 1863 by her father who was the Rector.  Edward died on 5th June 1874 aged just 48. By 1879, Catherine was suffering from Phthisis (TB) and was sent to the seaside for her health. She died on 21st October 1879 at her aunt Louisa Beauchamp's home in North Street, Worthing. Her mother Sophia died on 8th October 1899 and was buried with her husband in Coln St Dennis.
