George Christopher Battiscombe (buried 1948)

Reverend George Christopher Battiscombe MA Cantab 1861 to 1948

George Christopher Battiscombe was born on 7 February 1861 in Mells, Somerset.  His father was Arthur Battiscombe and his mother was Frances. He married Katharine Jessie Childe-Freeman on 2 May 1888 in Upton Upon Severn, Worcestershire. George was the curate at Heene from 1890 to 1893 during which time They had two children: George Hugh Christopher died aged 3 in 1893 and was buried in Heene Cemetery and Katherine Myra Faith was born in 1897.

George was the vicar of Bromley, then Uxbridge before becoming the rector of Denham in 1915.

 He died on 25 May 1948 in Buckingham, Buckinghamshire, at the age of 87.
