A. Flowering Plants
More extensive information on flowering plants can be found in a separate blog post.
B. Bellflowers (CAMPANULACEAE)
The only member of this familiar family in the cemetery is a garden escape. Native bellflowers may be seen on the Downs, especially those of the chalk turf.
C. Trailing Bellflower (Campanula poscharskyana)
This species is a rapidly spreading creeping cultivar, common in Worthing gardens. It commonly flowers in June and is tolerated for the attractive blue carpet created.
