A. Flowering Plants
More extensive information on flowering plants can be found in a separate blog post.
B. Periwinkles (APOCYNACEAE)
Dogbanes are flowering plants that include vines, shrubs and trees.
C. Lesser Periwinkle (Vinca minor)
Lesser Periwinkle is a trailing woody perennial that is found in woods, roadside banks and waste ground. It has been introduced into this country from Europe (although some botanists believe that it might be native) and can be found throughout the British Isles, except for Scotland.
The Lesser Periwinkle is smaller than the Greater Periwinkle, the latter having hairy-edged leaves.
