C. Hedge Bedstraw (Galium mollugo)

Hedge Bedstraw - sometimes called "false baby's breath" - is a herbaceous annual plant, native to Britain and Europe, and naturalised widely across the globe. It has smooth, square stems that produce rising branches that support very small white flowers with four petals. These white flowers are followed by black fruits. It has one-veined leaves that end in a point. It flowers from June to September.
