A. Arachnids
More extensive information on arachnids can be found in a separate blog post.
B. Nursery Web Spiders (PISAURIDAE)
The family name comes from the fact that the females build a nursery "tent" out of silk, place their egg sac inside, and stand guard while the eggs develop. Members of this family do not use webs for catching prey, but are roaming hunters.
C. European Nursery Web Spider (Pisaura mirabilis)
This is a long-legged spider with a slender abdomen. The tall vegetation in the cemetery in Summer is perfect habitat for this hunting species.
