C. Bristly Millipede (Polyxenus lagurus)
Polyxenus lagurus is found in many areas of Europe, usually on old walls that offer small hiding places. They are between 2 and 3 millimetres in length.
They are widespread in Britain.
These very small invertebrates are smaller than woodlice, have exoskeletons and have bristles that entangle spiders and ants, and are thus defensive.
