Cemetery map of burial locations
When Friends of Heene Cemetery started clearing the thick brambles to reveal headstones and footpaths it was decided to produce a map of the burials to complement the “Transcriptions of Monumental Inscriptions” register produced by Sussex Family History Group in 1983.
How to view the cemetery map
The map for Heene Cemetery has been painstakingly recreated accurately in CAD by one of our volunteers.
Due to the size of the map (approximately 2000 burials) it is difficult to view the whole image on your screen. To make things easier we have split the map up into 9 segments in the carousel below.
Scroll through the images to find the one that shows the segment you would like to view and click on it to see a larger version.
Each image has letters to identify which segment of the map they represent.
