Worthing Gazette 4th March 1925

"Death of Mr W J Ford"

The death occurred in a nursing home on Sunday, of meningitis, at the age of 48, of Mr William James Ford of Domus, Heene Road. Mr Ford was a civil engineer who had spent the greater part of his life in Central India in the Indore State Service and he retired something like a year ago. He had been ailing for some time but his condition had not appeared to be such as to give rise to any alarm until quite recently. He leaves a widow and four children. One of his daughters was married at Heene Church only a few weeks ago. The funeral is taking place at Heene this (Wednesday) afternoon. Deceased was a son of Mr G F Ford of Fernlea, St Michael's Road, who was for many years in Government service in India, stationed at Indore, and who has been resident in Worthing for about four years.
