Life story

Watts Wilkinson Goudge was the son of Alexander Goudge, a stone and coal merchant, and his wife, Charlotte, nre Wilkinson. He was born on 3 March 1819 at Norton Folgate, Middlesex, and baptised on 15 April at St Leonard's, Shoreditch. He became a bank clerk and married twice. His first wife was Mary Caroline Hatton whom he married on 30 April 1856. Watts was a widower when he married Harriett Nevil in March 1863 at Dunmow, Essex, and they had a child, Charlotta in 1867 at Horsea, London. The last known address for Watts is 'Maythorn', Rowlands Road, Heene. He died on 18 April 1907 at the age of 89, No probate announcement was found.
