Life story

Life story

Evelyn Amie Teversham Buckeridge (nee Bushby) of Heene Way, was born in Worthing in 1879, and died in June 1973.

In 1881 the Bushby family was living in Park Road.  Father Thomas, born Sompting, was a Gardener, his wife was Annie, born in Brighton. Evelyn was the youngest of their six children.

Evelyn married Francis Malcolm Buckeridge in 1905 and they divorced in1923. By 1911 they were living apart.

They had one daughter, Vera, in 1907 who lived only eight months and is also buried in the Cemetery.
