Life story

Life story

Susannah's father, George Miles, was a farm labourer, and her mother was Joyce, nee Pollard. Susannah Joyce was baptised on 15 March at Heyshott.

She had five brothers: Stephen, Henry Thomas, John, Walter, Jesse, and two sisters: Elizabeth, Kate.

Susannah never married and could only be found with certainty in the 1871 and 1881 Censuses.  She died on 20 June 1927 aged 60
