Richard's first wife had died in 1838 but he did not marry Elizabeth until 22 May 1846. Susan was baptised in Grimley on 19th September 1840 and again at St Martin's Church, Worcester on 1st July 1842. Richard died in July 1848. Susan lived with her sister Ellen and brother-in-law William Watson Wood who was rector of Easton in Suffolk. Later she took a job as a governess in the household of an East India merchant. By 1911, Susan had moved to Worthing, living in Tarring Road and then later in Brunswick Road. She died on 13th October 1930 at her home "Danesfield" in Brunswick Road. Probate was granted on 24th November to Violet Evelyn Pike (wife of Douglas Pike). Effects £253 17s 5d.
