Life story

Sarah was one of the 13 children of William Wiley, a barrister, and his wife, Margaret Matilda, nee Ormsby. She was born in Monkstown, Co. Dublin, but by 1881 she living at 49, Marine Parade, Broadwater, with her widower father and oldest brother, John. In 1891 she was living with her unmarried sister, Anne, and widowed sister, Frances, and children at 3, Heene Villas, Heene Road, Worthing. In 1901 she was a visitor at Christchurch in Hampshire, and in 1911 she was living alone in 2 rooms in Eriswell Road, Worthing. She died on 13 January 1916 at Caer Gwent, a nursing home in Wykeham Road, Worthing.
