Rhoda was born on the 31st October 1868 Tatsfield Surrey to Thomas and Amelia Cole. Thomas worked as an agricultural Labourer, and the family lived on Westmore Green Tatsfield, Surrey. 

The family were poor as in 1879 Rhoda's Mother, Ameilia applied for poor relief for herself and her children. the family were living at Farleigh Green, Farleigh, Surrey at this time. Thomas was working as a Farm Labourer.

In 1879 Rhoda was attending Chesham Common C of E School. 

In 1891 Rhoda was working as a Housemaid for Charles Moss, a merchant at 12 The Waldrons, Croydon, Surrey.  By 1911 she is working as a Servant to Mr Newberry at Maes Manor, Church Road, Whyteleafe, Surrey 

She married Arthur Day, a widower, in 1919 in East Preston, Sussex.  Unfortunately, Arthur died on 20th August 1920 while they were living at Ebenezer, Heene Road, Worthing, Sussex. He left an estate of £2502 8s 4d (£72702 in 2020) to Rhoda. 

Rhoda died on 15th October 1944 at St. Richards hospital Chichester, she was living at Whyteleafe 59 Pavilion Road Worthing Sussex. She left £934 8s 1d (£33,200 in 2020) probate to Dorothy Evelyn Mugridge nee Burberry, her niece (her sister Bertha Burberry nee Cole's daughter.
