Life story

When Miranda Evans was born on 26 July 1848 in Hammersmith, Middlesex, her father, tobacco merchant, Gotlieb Augustus Treyer, was 30, and her mother, Emily Spike, was 33. She married Benjamin Nicholson Jones on 4 October 1881 in Notting Hill, Middlesex. She died in October 1931 at the age of 83, and was buried in Heene Cemetery Worthing.
