Life story

Minnie Grace Parsons was baptised on 12th October 1873 at All Saints, Northamptonshire. Her father, Alexander Eames Parsons was a Bank Clerk, her mother, Mary Eliza nee Taperell, she had 2 older sisters, Emma and Clara, and they lived at St. George's Place, Northamptonshire. By 1881 Minnie, 7yrs old had 4 siblings: Emma M. 13, Clara L. 11, Edith C. 4, and Henry A. 2. Her father was now Bank Manager and the family lived in Thrapston, at the Northamptonshire Union Bank. They employed 2 domestic servants. When Minnie was 17yrs she was one of 7 children, Emma M. 23, Clara C. 21, Edith C. 14, Henry A. 12, Ethel E. 6, and Irene F. 4. The family lived at 20, St. Loyes, Bedford, employing 2 servants. Minnie and her 2 older sisters, Emma and Clara all became schoolteachers. In 1901 Minnie was an Assistant at a Ladies College in Guernsey, C. I. In 1910 Minnie Grace Parsons died on 7th July in Worthing Sussex, at the Hurst, St. Botolph's Road, aged 35yrs. Her home address was given as 15, Lansdowne Road, Bedford. Northamptonshire. She left estate of £212 8s 4d. to her father, Alexander E. Parsons, Bank Manager. Value 2020 - £25K. Her death certificate gave the cause of death as Appendicitis Operation Heart failure.
