Kindergarden teacher, May Ethel Beckles was the daughter of the Vicar of Heene, Henry McLeod Beckles. 

Biography

May E Beckles was born on 10 May 1874 in Worthing, Sussex Her father, Henry, was 27, and her mother, Charlotte Victoria Dodson was 27. She had one brother and four sisters. She died on 18 January 1960 in Devon at the age of 85 and was buried in Heene Cemetery on 22nd January, 1960

"Verse 2 Timothy lV v.3" Also of our beloved mother Charlotte Victoria his widow entered her rest Feb 28th 1926. Verse. Also of Elva Mary Alice their eldest daughter fell asleep May 20th 1935. Also of their beloved daughter May Ethel passed on Jan 18th 1960
