Life story

Mary Elizabeth's maiden name was Rake. She was the daughter of Thomas, a Bank of England clerk and his wife Sarah Ann. Mary was baptised on Christmas Day at All Saints church, West Ham in 1829. She married Charles Kemp Dyer, a widower on 28 April 1863 at Chipping Barnet, Hertfordshire. They had two children, Anne Mary born in 1864 and Charles Kemp Jnr born in 1867. Mary lived mainly in Hertfordshire but by 1891 she was living at 70 Marine Parade, Worthing. Mary died on 3 February 1895. No probate.
