Maria Perriam was born in early 1839 in Thrupp, Stroud, Gloucester, she was the daughter of Elkanah Perriam, 35yrs, Woolsorter, and Rebeckah, 29yrs, nee Baker, Straw Bonnet Maker. She had 4 siblings, Mary Ann b.1835, Peninah b.1836, Albert b.1842, and Sarah b.1850.
Maria went into domestic service and at 31yrs old in 1871 she was 1 of 3 servants in the household of Frederick Eycott, a landowner and partner in a brewery, in Stroud. She was still in service with this family in 1881.Twenty years later in 1901, Maria was living with her widowed sister, Sarah, in Uckfield, Sussex.
On 10th October 1912 Maria died at St. Vincent, Wordsworth Road, Worthing, Sussex, aged 74.
Her address at the time of her death was 158, Rosendale Road, Dulwich, Surrey. Probate was granted to her sister, Sarah Ann Isbister Smith, widow, effects £991 13s 0d. Value 2023 - £144,800.
