Maria's Husband John died on 15th March 1870 Dublin. According to the Dublin Evening Post dated 16th March 1870 he died suddenly in his bed at Clyde Road Dublin Ireland of natural causes.

By 1881 she has moved to 32 Westbourne Park Paddington London, 2 of her 3 children are living at home and she has 1 servant. Her Son Henry died in 1874 in London
By 1891 Maria is living at Woodside Avenue, Croydon., she is living on her own means, her 2 children are still living at home with her. She also has 1 domestic servant
In 1901 she has moved to 3 Rosemount Wallington Croydon, her 2 children are still living with her. Stanley is working as an insurance clerk and Olive is working as a music teacher
By 1911 she has moved to Sunnydene Harrow Road Worthing and is still living by private means. She still has her daughter Olive living with her who is still working as a music teacher. Her Son Stanley died on 20th October.
In 1921 Maria is living with her Daughter Olive and a private nurse at Altow Cottage, Harrow Road, Worthing Maria died in 1921 in her home at Harrow Road Worthing. There does not appear to be a probate record for her. Her Daughter died in Worthing in 1956
