Life story

Life story

When Louisa Hall was born in 1822 in Ore, Sussex, her father, an agricultural labourer, John Hall, was 30, and her mother, Elizabeth Burton, was 30. Louisa had 5 sisters, Ann, Hannah, Elizabeth, Frances and Emma. She married George Challen on 18 April 1860 at St. Nicholas Church, Brighton, Sussex. George and Louisa kept a lodging house on Marine Parade, Worthing.

She died in August 1900 in Worthing at the age of 78 and was buried in Heene Cemetery.
