Worthing Gazette - 4th Dec 1957
Woman's death was from natural causes - A woman crippled by arthritis who fell at her hotel and was feared to have fractured her leg, was found after death not to have a fracture.
She was Miss Kathleen Mary McCulloch, aged 73. The deputy police surgeon, Dr. H. Rosenberg , performed a post mortem which revealed that death was due to natural causes.
A verdict in accordance with the doctor's finding was recorded at the inquest on Wednesday by the coroner, Mr F. F. Haddock, who said he had been told that the primary cause was broncho-pneumonia.
Miss Doris Hopper of St Ives Hotel, Heene Terrace, Worthing, said Miss McCulloch was her friend and companion. She was badly handicapped by arthritis and walked with the aid of sticks.
She fell on October 3rd and later was sent to the nursing home where she died on Saturday November 23rd.
