Life story

Catherine (Kitty) Kate Parsons was born in 1817 in Worthing to fisherman, Charles Parsons and Elizabeth Norris. She had five siblings: Charles, Jane, Louisa, William and Caroline.

Kitty earned her living from needlework and in 1881 was housekeeper to boot and shoemaker Richard Finnis of Montague Street.

She died in September 1897 in Worthing having lived 80 years and was buried on 28th September, 1897 at Heene Cemetery, Worthing, Sussex.
