Life story

Kate was born in 1876 to Joseph and Emily Arnold. Joseph was a Greengrocer / Fruiterer. In 1891 Kate was helping in her Father's Greengrocers in Worthing. On 2nd April 1899 Kate married Thomas Harry Bushby in the Parish of Heene, Worthing. They had 3 children (2 sons, 1 Daughter). Thomas Harry worked as a Greengrocer / Fruiterer in Brighton. By 1911 the family had moved back to Worthing where he continued working as a Greengrocer / Fruiterer. Kate died 9th June 1915 at 29 Rowlands Road of cirrhosis of the liver and haematemesis, her Husband was in attendance at the death. She left the sum of £182 15s 8d (£21260.00 in 2020) to her Husband Thomas Harry Bushby
