Life story

John was born in Fishersgate near Southwick, the son of Richard and Eliza. He was baptised at Southwick on 27th May 1860. John's father was a mariner. By 1871, Eliza was a widow and had moved the family to Worthing living in Brunswick Cottages. John became a fly driver and coachman. He died in the Cottage Hospital at Chislehurst, Kent on 27th November 1884. He was suffering from heart and kidney disease. No probate.
