Life story

Ida Maggie Lizzie Baker was born in February 1898. Her father, Samuel, was a carpenter from Eastbourne and her mother, Jane Smith Cornwall, was from Mayfield, Sussex. The family lived at "Myrtle Cottage" in Elm Grove, West Worthing. Ida was baptised privately at Heene church on 3rd March 1898 as she was ill. She died aged 6 weeks and was buried on 23rd March. The family moved back to Eastbourne by 1911.
