"Worthing Bricklayer’s Death"
A verdict of "natural causes" was recorded at the inquest on Friday of Herbert Henry Brown, a bricklayer of 71 Newland Road, Worthing. It was stated that he suddenly collapsed and died while visiting friends in Marlowe Road the previous Tuesday evening.
The widow, Mrs Ivy Brown told the coroner (Mr F W Butler) that he had suffered from angina pectoris for two and a half years. Henry Thomas Roberts of 26 Marlowe Road, Worthing who was out in his garden with Brown after supper, said that Brown suddenly fell to the ground with a cry. He did not say a word.
Dr P C Cole said that the cause of death was syncope due to angina pectoris.
