Life story

Harriet was born in 1839 to Jane, a woman in service. Harriet married George Fleet in 1863 in Portsea Hampshire. They moved to Worthing and in 1871 were living at 10 Gloucester Place. George was working as a Carpenter and Harriet was working as a Dressmaker. They had 6 children- Charles Henry born 1863 Havant Hampshire. He served in the Royal Navy from 1879 to 1914 and then in the RAF in WW1 Sarah Anne born 1864 Havant Alice Jane born 1866 Havant George Edward born 1869 Worthing Emily Harriet born 1871 Worthing Albert Edward born 1874 Worthing. He was a Gunner in the Royal Field Artillery in WW1 Harriet died on 10th July 1875 in Worthing of Laryngeal Phthisis George then married Louisa Norris in 1877 and they lived in London. George died in London in 1891
