Life story

Life story

Harold was the son of Frank Shepherd Hawes, a grocer, and his wife, Adelaide Ann, nee Price. He was born prematurely at 6, Thorn Terrace, West Worthing, and only lived for 12 hours. He was one of ten children born to Frank and Adelaide and the only one to die in infancy. The family lived mostly in London where Frank had his substantial business in Hampstead Road, St.Pancras. Harold was buried at Heene on 21 September 1881.
