Life story

Life story

Grace was born in October 1866 in Bath, Somerset and baptised on 2 November 1866. Her parents were Edmund Smith, a solicitor, and Augusta Penelope Julia, nee Dornford, known as Julia. She is also buried at Heene. Grace became a teacher and did not marry. She lived with her mother and 3 sisters at Walcot, Winchester Road, Worthing as shown on the 1901 and 1911 Censuses but after that could not be traced in 1921 nor in the 1939 Register. She died in 1955 in Reading.
