Life story

When George Henry Smith was born in 1880 in Worthing , Sussex. He was baptised at Heene on 3rd October. His father, David, was a threshing machine operative and his mother was, Sarah Ann Boulter (Bolter) from Walberton. He had two brothers and three sisters. He died a short time after birth and was buried in Heene Cemetery. His brother, Henry and sister Sarah and maternal grandparents, William and Caroline Bolter, are also buried in Heene.
