Geoffrey W Jones was born in August 1943 in Worthing, Sussex. His father, William James, was an electrical engineer and his mother was Gwendoline Gladys Churcher. He had a brother, Malcolm and a sister, Meryl. He died in January 1944, aged 5 months and was buried in Heene Cemetery, West Worthing, Sussex alongside his brother and sister who also died in infancy.
