He was the only son and had five sisters. His father was an umbrella manufacturer. Frederick was sent to school in Battle and studied at the Beauvoir House College for young gentlemen. Thomas Fisher died in 1883, leaving an estate of over £6000. Frederick took over the running of the business but had sold it by 1901. The family moved to Wanstead and then to South Woodford. Frederick and four of his sisters, Mary Anne, Annie, Beatrice and Nellie moved to Worthing at the start of the First World War, living at "Seabank" in Manor Road. They later moved to 73 Marine Parade and finally to "Talybont" in Shakespeare Road, Worthing. The family worshipped at Holy Trinity Church in Shelley Road and were supportive of local charities. Annie was the first sister to die in 1927. Frederick died on 26th July 1942. No probate. As the other sisters died over the next 15 years, they were buried in the family plot at Heene cemetery. Florence was the only sister to marry. She came to live in Worthing and died here in 1950.
