Life story

Frederick Bunting was born on 13th July 1846, he was baptised on 9th September at St. Giles Cripplegate. He was the son of Thomas Bunting, 31yrs, Undertaker, and Eleanor, 31yrs, nee Silani. He had 4 siblings, Eleanor, b.1849, (died 1851), Edward, b.1851, (died 1855), Mary, b.1854, and Arthur, b.1856.

Frederick was a civil servant employed as a post office clerk, a career he maintained until retirement.

On 31st March 1874, Frederick married Agnes Dredge, at St. Phillip, Evangelist, Islington. Agnes and Frederick had no children, they lived in Islington, moving to Hornsey and then after retirement, to Worthing, Sussex, living at DArcy, Cowper Road. From 1901, Agnes's widowed mother lived with them.

Frederick died on 25th July 1929, at 123, Heene Road, Worthing, aged 83yrs, probate was granted to his widow, Agnes Bunting, effects £378 0s 3d. Value 2022 - £25,500.
