Life story

Francis Robinson was born in Sturton, Lincolnshire, in 1849, to William Robinson, 44yrs, Farmer, and Eliza, 33yrs, nee Roberts. Francis had 6 sisters; he was the only son; he remained at the farm until he was in his twenties.

Francis married Mary Emily Godson, 37yrs, when he was 43yrs old, on 22nd October 1892, at St. George in the East, London, his occupation was a Brewery Drayman, living at Great Hermitage Street. They had a son, Francis William, in 1899, he was baptised on February 1st, 1900, at St. Peter, London Docks. Francis and Mary remained in London until some point after 1901 when they moved to Worthing, Sussex, where they lived at Glencarry, Browning Road, on private means.

Francis died, aged 68yrs, on 4th April 1917, in Worthing, administration was granted to his widow, effects £33 4s 6d. Value 2021 - £2K.
