Florence's father, John Augustus Edwards, was a surgeon and general practitioner, in Crediton, Devon. Her mother was Mary Sophia, nee Brown.
Florence never married and remained in her father's household until he died in 1902. The 1901 Census shows Florence and her father at the lodging house kept by (Louisa) Madeleine Stone, widow, at 6, Compton Road, Eastbourne.
In 1911 Florence was living with her niece, Noël Mary Lever, wife of schoolmaster, Darcy Lever, in Park Road, Cheam, Surrey. Also in the Lever household was Louisa Madeleine Stone ( buried at Heene ), who was Noël Lever's mother and Florence's sister.
By 1921 Florence had moved to 82, Heene Road, Worthing, with Noël Mary and Una Mary Lever, and was still living there when she died on 22 April 1935, although her actual place of death was 14, Queen's Road, Worthing. She left £1531 1s to Una Mary Lever and Roy Alexander Malcolm, solicitor.
