Florence Dallimore (buried 1931)

Florence was born in Gundaroo, New South Wales, Australia, the daughter of John Charles and Louisa. Her father was an army officer and the family travelled extensively between 1858 and 1862. They lived in Ireland for some years before returning to England, living in Gloucestershire. The family lived in Hampstead before moving to Norfolk where Florence met Rev. Harry Dallimore. The couple married at Old Buckenham church on 20th October 1875. They had six children but sadly their son Herbert died aged 6 months in 1878. By 1881, the family were living in Hevingham, Norfolk where Harry was the curate. He was appointed vicar of Halvergate soon after and continued serving the community until his death in 1921. Their son Hugh also took Holy Orders. After her husband's death, Florence moved to Worthing with her daughters Katherine and Florence, living at "Sunnycroft" 135 Rowlands Road. Katherine (who became Mrs Thompson in 1913) died of TB in 1924 and was buried at Heene. Florence died on 15th October 1931. Probate was granted on 5th January 1932 to Harry Douglas Dallimore esq, Florence Whitty Dallimore spinster and Charles Glennie de Rougemont esq. Effects £4111 19s 5d.
