Life story

Life story

Emma was born in 24th February 1836 St. Lukes, Finsbury, Middlesex, to William Frederick and Emma Anderson. Emma's Father worked as a Collector of Taxes, and in 1861 they were living at Kinneseley Villas, Islington, Middlesex.

Emma married George Berry on 2nd December 1865 in Islington London.

They had 4 known children-

Herbert H born 1873 Islington

Ernest born 1876 Islington London

George worked as a shirt and collar manufacturer in London and West of England.  After the children had left home George and Emma moved to Worthing and lived at Denver Mill road Worthing.

Emma died on the 27th July 1915 in Worthing and left £1724 3s 10d  (approx. £102000 in 2020) to her Husband George, and George died on the 29th July 1927 in Worthing
