Mrs. Emily Florence Dodsworth, of 9, Queen’s Road, Worthing, who died on January 25th last, widow of the Reverend Jeremiah Dodsworth, left £35,832 10s 10d with net personalty £27,622 3s 9d, (Duty paid £6355). She left £200 conditionally to Heene (Worthing) parish church for the upkeep of the graveyard. £200 for distribution among Metropolitan Police poor boxes; £200 to the Church Army; £200 to the British and Foreign Bible Society; £100 each to the Methodist Missionary Society (women’s branch) and the Worn-Out Minister’s Fund; her wireless set and table to the Worthing Home for the Blind; £100 each to Ethel W. Dearle and Alice Peak, as a slight recognition of their skill and many acts of kindness to her while in their Home, and a further £10 to Ethel W. Dearle for her kindness and skill during a recent illness; £200 to George F. Wildash, chartered accountant, as a small token of her appreciation of his trouble and kindness in looking after her affairs and comfort during her illness. £3,500 to Florence M. Jarrett, £500 to Florence I. Sandy, £2,000 and her residence to Emily C. Bennett; other legacies amounting to about £1,600 and some specific bequests, and the residue to the London Hospital.
