Life story

Life story

Emily was born in Bolney, Sussex, the daughter of Louis and Annie. She was baptised at Bolney on 27th June 1869. Her father was a bricklayer and the family lived on the London Road. As a young girl, Emily was employed as a servant for a grocer in Cowfold. By 1891, she had moved to Eastbourne working for a retired militia officer. On 26th December 1891, Emily married Frank Cooper at Broadwater church. Frank was a carpenter, the son of Richard and Mary Cooper. The couple moved in with Richard and Mary at 12 Milton Street, Worthing. They had no children. Mary died on 17th October 1916. No probate.

Frank married another two times and died in 1954.
