Life story

Elizabeth was born in 1865 Bishopstone Sussex, the Daughter of James and Eliza. James was in the Navy as an able seaman from 1849 to 1857, he saw active service in China and Rangoon. He then became a Coastguard in July 1857 to May 1875 serving in Newhaven then Worthing. Elizabeth died on 31st August 1877 at Brunswick Cottages Heene of rheuniatitis (skin condition?), Morbus Cordis (heart disease) and exhaustion. Her Father James Couch was in attendance.
